
Life is amazing and fascinating and there is much to be appreciative for! Are you open to the blessings? Are you in the receptive mode and are you ready to receive?
Let me begin by upgrading your thoughts and inviting you to soften the word ‘Gratitude’ into ‘Appreciation’. Our expression of Gratitude and Appreciation send out very different vibrations. “When we feel gratitude, we are looking at a difficulty that we have overcome, but there is still some of the vibration of struggle present.” “Appreciation is presence of everything that feels good and the absence of everything that feels bad. The state of Appreciation is seeing whatever you are looking at through the eyes of Source. Appreciation and gratitude are very different vibrational states.” Many people are familiar with the concept of daily “Gratitude” journaling. I invite you to shift into a place of a higher vibrational frequency and into a daily “Appreciation” journal instead. Note that “Appreciation and Love have identical vibrations. Appreciation is true alignment of who you really are as a Soul and seeing everything you encounter through the eyes of your Source energy.”

- Buy a pretty journal that will inspire you and motivate you to enjoy the writing process. Of course, this is not about expense. Make the shopping process of choosing this journal, an EXPERIENCE ~ it’s about the excitement and the feeling. Plan to go out and shop for a journal – the best way to choose a journal is to run your hand over a selection and allow the ‘Chi’ ~ energy to resonate to you. You will know when you have found the right one.. and besides that, this also teaches you about connecting with energy and is a good exercise in intuition as well. - Take a moment to pay attention to the texture of the paper, the size and width of the line spacing, checking to see if it will suit your writing style. Furthermore, choose a pen that sits in-between your fingers comfortably where the ink flows fluidly making the writing process enjoyable.
- At the end of each day, do a recap; go through anything and everything that happened in that day. Get personal ~ include who, what, when, how and WHY. It is imperative to include the WHY factor and the FEELING factor in awareness of the vibrational scale of emotions.

Take a minute, indulge in the experience ..let it circle back and allowww the light to shimmer around you. Your mindset will gradually change, and you will become more conscious of all the abundance around you. The natural process of positive momentum and Law of Attraction will gradually begin to set in. The Law of Attraction, simply stated is “Like-attracts-Like.” Whatever you send out as a vibration, is what you attract back into your life.
- When challenges or contrast occur in your day, remember you can use these challenges as opportunities to record the lesson and shifts received. This will bring in the expansion of your experience by focusing on the positive.
- Recording elements of surprise in your day elicit greater levels of appreciation. Pay close attention to the good things in life that you would normally take for granted. Be aware of and utilize all of your senses ~ in fact, use all five senses to increase how much you relish and savor the gifts.
- For individuals that are new to Appreciation Journaling, you may experience the initial process of not knowing what to write about. Begin with the simplest of observations and notice how your mindset changes, leading to a natural sense of happiness, a rewiring of the brain energy creating new neuro pathways, and directly affecting your DNA structure.
- During the process of recollecting your day’s events, re-living your positive experiences also brings more joy to your individual cells as you recount the emotions. Subsequently, the brain releases endorphins and serotonin contributing to your happiness factor. This also reduces your cortisol levels leading to stress reduction.
- Committing to writing (pen & paper) shows a dedication to the journey and is a significant part of the sacred ritual. There is a definite potency in creating the written word. Committing your thoughts to paper not only helps you focus and organize your thoughts, but it also makes you more aware of them, thus deepening their emotional impact. It allows you to see and give meaning to the events going on in your life. Remember, life has no meaning expect the deliberate meaning that we define it to be! This brings about an increased sense of connection with the infinite source energy making us more POWERFUL as deliberate creators of our own reality.
- Often many ask about using a tablet or computer to journal ~ clarification: putting pen to paper opens up a different section of the brain, the cognitive part of the brain lights up. Brainwaves light up more on the right side of the brain when you work with your hand. When typing, the left brain and motor response that has learned to type does not open up the same spot in the brain.
- We get more epiphanies when you are not typing even if your writing is illegible. Scientific evidence shows that it opens up that cognitive part of the brain which then in turn opens up the pineal gland which then opens us up to receive, it’s a receptive part. Whereas, we are generating by typing, it is that what we already know. And don’t we rather want to open up to what we don’t know.

- Your intuition is the language of the Universe, and when you learn to attune yourself to it, there’s a whole world of guidance and magic available to you.

Over time, you will notice that you begin to let go of knee-jerk reactions. It is imperative to understand that you are not changing your reaction but simply changing your response to your reaction of your daily events.
